PRAISING THE LORD!

"THE GATHERING"

On Saturday Feb. 8, 2014 From 8:30 A.M. to 2:00 PM Leaders of the Catholic Charismatic Prayer Groups of the Diocese of Harrisburg along with Prayer Group and Service Team Members gathered at the Cardinal Keeler Center on Union Deposit Road in Harrisburg for a Day of Praise, Prayer and Healing with the theme: "The Lord is King Forever.

Mary Ann Campion was the coordinator for the day with the help of the service team. Alex and Sally Bogdanoff from the "Life in the Spirit” Prayer Group in Mechanicsburg gave presentations encouraging the use of the Charismatic Gifts of the Holy Spirit with a special emphasis on the gift of healing.

Fr. Frank Karwacki, the Diocesan Liaison for the Charismatic Renewal, reminded all present of the parable of Jesus of the "New Wine in the Wine Skins!" He stated "that even though the original intent dealt with the old wine skins of the Jewish man-made laws, we could now see how we too can become old wine skins by not be open to the effervescence of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

Joseph Bankowski from the St. Joseph Prayer Group in York gave a powerful testimony on a personal healing from cancer he had received. The purpose of the Gathering was for us to come together to be ministered to and be refreshed and renewed in our commitment to go forth and spread the Good News and bring God’s healing presence to others.  It was a time for those who give so freely to others to sit back and receive what God had for them.  Fr. Frank and Fr. Dwight Schlaline with Prayer Teams were available to pray over those in attendance.
